ECG Utah Solar 1 an Energy Capital Group, LLC development

ECG Utah Solar 1 is a 300 mega-watt solar project one mile from the Intermountain Power Project north of Delta, Utah.
  • Energy Capital Group signed a land lease in May 2013 with easement rights to the Intermountain Power Project (IPP) property for transmission on 1754 acres with The State of Utah School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration (SITLA). 
  • ECG Utah Solar 1 has completed the required Biological and Cultural Studies on the land during the summer of 2013.
  • ECG Utah Solar 1 entered the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP) interconnection queue at the (IPP) switchyard in September 2013. Switchyard has the Southern Transmission System (STS) 500HVDC (2400 MW) transmission line that goes directly to Aldelanto, California.
  • ECG Utah Solar 1 had its conditional use permit (CUP)  approved by the Millard County Commission on February 18, 2014.
  • ECG Utah Solar 1 is currently receiving bids and evaluating engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firms. 
  • ​ECG Utah Solar 1 is actively working towards entering into power purchase agreements (PPA).
